Dr Young graduated from the University of Sydney in 1983 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery. He spent the first two years after graduation as a Dental Officer at the Westmead Hospital Dental Clinical School. While at Westmead he worked on rotation through the different specialty departments where he also tutored dental students. Dr Young then worked for a year in private practice, before purchasing the existing dental surgery in Artarmon in 1985. The practice grew over the years and in 2007 did “the big move” to Chatswood.
Dr Young has a personable and caring approach, coupled with a commitment to clinical excellence. He strongly believes in only doing “what’s best for the patient.”
For over 30 years he has looked after the dental wellbeing of his patients and, in some cases, four generations of the same family!
Dr Young believes education is constant and never ending, and he has participated in many post-graduate events since 1983. He has a special interest in cosmetic, restorative and reconstructive dentistry.
David’s wife, Joanne, manages the practice and also works part-time as a medical GP. They have two young daughters – Lauren 7 and Evelyn 6. David will insist on them skiing and playing golf and tennis with him in his old age.
